12-year-old boy among four drown in UP’s Balrampur | Lucknow News

NEW DELHI: Four individuals, including a 12-year-old boy, drowned in separate incidents in Balrampur district, Uttar Pradesh. The occurrences were reported on Tuesday by Superintendent of Police (SP) Vikas Kumar.
The 12-year-old boy identified as Raj, was a resident of Kishunpur village in Sadullah Nagar, who slipped into a village pond and drowned on Monday.
In another incident, Shiv Narayan Sahu, a 38-year-old assistant professor from Hasangarh, drowned after slipping into the Rapti River while grazing buffaloes on Sunday evening.His body was recovered after 17 hours with assistance from divers and the State Disaster Response Force.
“Sahu’s body was recovered with the help of divers and the State Disaster Response Force after 17 hours,” said SP Vikas Kumar.
A third incident involved Rajesh Kumar, a resident of Gopalipur village, whose body was found on Monday evening in a water pit outside Chaukiyan village, where he had gone to visit his maternal uncle. Police noted injury marks on his head.
In a fourth case, the police discovered an unidentified man’s body near Bhabhar Nala in Manki Baghia village.
“All bodies were sent for post-mortem. Further investigation is underway,” SP Vikas Kumar added.
Authorities continue to investigate each case to uncover more details and ensure all protocols are followed.
