Shoojit Sircar reveals how Shah Rukh Khan used to date Gauri and meet her at a cafe in Connaught place: ‘Usko romance karte dekha hai’

Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri fell in love when they were in Delhi at such a young age. At that point, SRK used to work with Barry John’s theatre group and was a struggling actor. In a recent interview, Shoojit Sircar has recalled how he knows SRK from those days.
Shoojit known for movies like ‘Vicky Donor‘ and ‘Piku‘ had also starred his career from Barry John’s theatre group. He said in an interview on ‘Unfiltered With Samdish’, “Shah Rukh I know from the time he was in Barry John’s theatre group. I didn’t plays with him, I was there with them.” He further added that he started doing plays after SRK left the group to be a part of a TV show, ‘Fauji’.
He further added, “Connaught place mein jagah hai Depaul Cafe, woh wahan aata tha Gauri ke saath coffee peene. (He used to come to have coffee with Gauri at this cafe called Depaul in Counaught Place.” Samdish reacted and said, “Accha toh aapne Shah Rukh Khan ko romance karte dekha hai.” Shoojit reacted, “romance karte dekha hai, play mein nahi dekha.”
On work front, Shoojit’s next film after ‘Sardar Uddham’, is called ‘I Want To Talk’. It stars Abhishek Bachchan and the teaser has already been released, along with poster. It has created a lot of intrigue and people are looking forward to seeing it. The film is set to release on November 22 in cinemas.
