Rohit Shetty REACTS to the idea of Ranveer Singh’s ‘Simmba’ making an appearance in his Golmaal universe: ‘That will become…’ |

Date:

Rohit Shetty recently confirmed Sooryavanshi 2 with Akshay Kumar and Simmba 2 with Ranveer Singh. When asked if Simmba might join the Golmaal universe, he humorously asked fans to “have mercy,” admitting that handling such a big crossover might be a little overwhelming.
During an interview with Pinkvilla, the host shared fan questions, including one from an excited Akshay fan curious about a possible Sooryavanshi 2, especially after Akshay’s memorable cameo in Singham Again.
Rohit responded, explaining that another cop film will take some time—likely around a year. He mentioned that while it’s too early to confirm which project he’ll start next, Sooryavanshi 2 is indeed on his radar for future plans.A fan expressed their excitement for Ranveer Singh’s role in Simmba and asked if Simmba 2 was in the works—either as its own film or with Simmba joining the Golmaal universe.
The director chuckled, acknowledging that mixing multiple universes would be overwhelming. He playfully asked for some mercy, but reassured fans that Simmba 2 is certainly in the works, as Simmba remains one of the most beloved characters in his cop universe.

He further explained that the focus would first be on comedy, and only after that would they return to the cop films. He noted that continuously making cop movies since Simmba in 2018 might become too much for the audience.
Golmaal features a vibrant cast, the series stars Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, and Tusshar Kapoor in key roles.
