Advocate Vandana Shah addresses backlash over AR Rahman’s divorce hashtag: ‘It holds no real significance’ |

Date:

Divorce lawyer Vandana Shah recently clarified on AR Rahman being trolled for using a hashtag while announcing the separation with wife Saira Banu.
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Vandana addressed the trolling AR Rahman faced for using #arsairabreakup in his divorce announcement, downplaying its significance. She compared hashtags to minor elements of grammar, suggesting they hold little importance in the bigger picture and should not be overanalysed or given undue attention.

Shah also praised the Rahman family for handling the divorce with grace and dignity, highlighting their private and composed nature. She commended the press for respecting their boundaries and noted how the joint press release demonstrated a thoughtful and groundbreaking way to approach such personal matters, setting an example for others.

After the divorce announcement, Rahman shared a post that read, ‘We had hoped to reach the grand thirty, but all things, it seems, carry an unseen end. Even the throne of God might tremble at the weight of broken hearts. Yet, in this shattering, we seek meaning, though the pieces may not find their place again. To our friends, thank you for your kindness and for respecting our privacy as we walk through this fragile chapter.’
