Director Nag Ashwin‘s ‘Kalki 2898 AD‘, starring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan, finally graced the theaters on June 27. Fans are going gaga over the cast’s acting, particularly Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan.
Meanwhile, on the first day, many fans complained that the film’s shows were being cancelled without any reason. Now, a video has surfaced on the internet in which a user said that his Cinepolis IMAX show of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ in Pune got cancelled without any reason.
In the video, we can see a person talking to the manager, mentioning that they took a week off or half days specifically to watch the film in IMAX.The person also expresses frustration, stating that they need to return to work and should be compensated for such a disappointing experience.
Reportedly, several users also claimed that Cinepolis chains have done this before, as they experienced the same issue during the releases of ‘Thugs of Hindostan,’ ‘Brahmastra: Part 1,’ ‘Salaar: Part 1: Ceasefire,’ and now ‘Kalki 2898 AD.’
Reportedly, the film is likely to break multiple box office records, with film trade experts predicting a net opening of over Rs 100 crore at the domestic box office. Globally, it may surpass the Rs 200 crore mark.
Directed by Nag Ashwin, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ revolves around a modern avatar of Lord Vishnu, who has descended on Earth to protect the world from the forces of evil. It also stars Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, Rajendra Prasad, Pasupathy, Saswata Chatterjee, Anna Ben, and Chemban Vinod Jose in pivotal roles.
