Drama, plot twists, and unexpected and emotional farewell are the things that defined and sketched the finale of the much-loved series ‘Yellowstone Season 5.’ Released on Sunday, December 15, the season finale made sense on several levels and at the same time left a few lingering questions. Perhaps that is why the Yellowstone season finale has left the internet divided, with some praising it for its drama, while others calling it the ‘worst ever’
Key highlights of Yellowstone Season 5 finale
Kayce Dutton made a monumental decision that completely changed the future of Yellowstone Ranch. It is worth noting that Kayce’s plan to “save the ranch” was one huge sacrifice. He sold the property back to its rightful owners and that too at $1.25 an acre, a price at which his ancestors first took the land in 1883. Thereafter, Kayce, his wife, and his son retained ownership of the East Camp portion of Yellowstone.
Meanwhile, Beth Dutton kept her word which left the fans surprised. Beth once again proved she is the most complex character with a vengeance as her superpower. She was cold, calculated, and ruthless. As the dust settled, Beth and her husband Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) started a new chapter by purchasing a brand-new ranch.
The fans review – mixed reactions to Yellowstone Season 5 finale
So yes, the story gave closure but at the same time led to controversy as well when the fans took to social media to share their review and reactions.
A few found the finale poetic and fitting, while others were actually impressed.
One disappointed fan, wrote, “It is official. Game of Thrones is no longer the worst final season of any TV show ever. Yellowstone has taken that award. What a disaster of a final season. #Yellowstone #YellowstoneTV.”
Another user only used two words to express his feelings on the finale when he tweeted: “Dumb ending #Yellowstone #YellowstoneTV.”
On the other hand, some even speculated another season’s onset. ““? hm, after that finale, i wonder what the premise of the next season/Beth and Rip’s spinoff will be. i guess we’ll see,” read a post.
We don’t know about Season 6, but the makers have officially given the green light to the spin-off series featuring Rip and Beth just last week.
