NEW DELHI: Amid West Asia tensions, India and Iran will hold another round of foreign office consultations here this week. The two sides are expected to review the entire gamut of bilateral relationship, including connectivity projects such as Chabahar port, political engagements, trade & economic matters, cultural exchanges, people-to-people ties, agriculture cooperation, and capacity building initiatives.
India is expected to underline the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in resolving the Gaza conflict and ensuring it doesn’t spread to other parts of the region.
Other regional and global issues, including developments in Afghanistan, will also be discussed. While the Indian delegation will be headed by foreign secretary Vikram Misri, the Iranians will be led by deputy foreign minister Takht Ravanchi.
