Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ to release in Japan on November 28; advance booking opens on July 5 | Hindi Movie News

Jawan‘, the action film starring Shah Rukh Khan and directed by Atlee, will debut in Japan on November 29 this year, almost a year after its global release. It will be distributed by Twin, known for releasing Indian films in Japan.
The release plans for ‘Jawan’ in Japan were announced on the distributor’s official Twitter handle, featuring a trailer and a poster highlighting it as the highest-grossing Indian film of 2023.Advance ticket sales in Japan will begin on July 5th, nearly five months before the release. Those who buy tickets in advance will receive posters of Shah Rukh Khan from the song ‘Chaleya’.
‘Jawan’ is the second highest-grossing Bollywood film overseas with USD 47.60 million, just behind ‘Pathaan’, which earned USD 47.85 million. The gap is due to Pathaan’s JPY 45 million earnings in Japan. ‘Jawan’ aims to surpass ‘Pathaan’ in Japan and increase its total overseas revenue.
‘Jawan’ is a Hindi action thriller directed by Atlee and produced by Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma under Red Chillies Entertainment. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role, playing a dual role. Nayanthara, Deepika Padukone, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, and Sunil Grover appear in supporting roles.
Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Dunki’. Next, he’ll appear in ‘King’, produced by Siddharth Anand and Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment and directed by Sujoy Ghosh. The film might also star his daughter, Suhana Khan. Shah Rukh will be playing a don in this film.
