Salman Khan reveals ‘daddy issues’ with Salim Khan: ‘How can he be right all the time?’

Salman Khan recently made his podcast debut on his nephew Arhaan Khan‘s show, “Dumb Biryani.” During the candid conversation, the superstar touched upon various topics, including his relationship with his father and veteran screenwriter Salim Khan. He also discussed his feelings on other topics, and voiced his disregard for ‘motivational talks’.
Speaking to Arhaan, son of Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora, Salman revealed, “There is a head of the family and that head of the family should be respected, because nobody would want you, from a family, from the people you love, to be unsuccessful or go through shit in your life. Like me and my father used to have this thought – ‘you’re doing this, don’t do this, you are going to get screwed’. So, my problem with my father was, how can he be right all the time, when I am so wrong? and that was the biggest thing I needed to change. So today, if I give you advice, the way I speak to myself, you would hate me, because I speak to myself rather harshly.”
Earlier, Salman shared the teaser of an episode on his Instagram and wrote, “I spoke to the boys a year ago, I’m not sure if they even remember all the advice. My first ever podcast appearance @dumbbbiryani comes out soon.”

On the work front, Salman Khan is currently filming the action thriller ‘Sikandar’, directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. The film stars Salman and Rashmika Mandanna in leading roles, along with Sharman Joshi, Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, Prateik Babbar, and Kishore. ‘Sikandar’ is scheduled for release in theaters on Eid 2025.
