2 Indians recruited by Russian army killed in conflict with Ukraine, says MEA | India News

NEW DELHI: The ministry of external affairs (MEA) on Tuesday informed that two Indians recruited in the Russian army have been killed in the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
MEA further said that they have requested the Russian authorities, including the ministry of defense, to send back their mortal remains as soon as possible.
Additionally, they have taken up the matter with the Russian Ambassador in New Delhi and with Russian authorities in Moscow, for early release and return of all Indian nationals who are currently associated with the Russian army.
India has also demanded that there be a verified stop to any further recruitment of our nationals by the Russian army. They have also urged Indian nationals to be cautious while seeking employment opportunities in Russia.
