In a heartwarming moment that stole the spotlight after Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) victory against Punjab Kings (PBKS), Virat Kohli was seen sharing personal glimpses of his children, Vamika and Akaay, with actress and PBKS co-owner Preity Zinta.
Virat Kohli’s proud dad moment with Preity Zinta goes viral
RCB secured a solid win by 7 wickets on Monday night, avenging their earlier loss to PBKS this IPL season. After the match, the sportsmanship on display was lauded as Virat Kohli and his teammates warmly greeted their PBKS counterparts. A now-viral video from the post-match interaction shows Virat, still in his RCB jersey, sharing photos of his children with Preity Zinta.
In the clip, Virat is seen scrolling through his phone and showing pictures to a visibly delighted Preity, who reacted with awe and admiration. The moment has melted hearts online, with fans praising Kohli for the rare peek into his private life. Virat and Anushka Sharma have maintained strict privacy regarding their children, rarely sharing any photos on social media.
Preity braved high fever to support PBKS
Interestingly, just hours before the match, Preity Zinta took to Twitter to reveal that she was running a high fever, likely caused by “hectic travel, excessive heat, air conditioning, and constant hotel changes.” Despite feeling unwell, she expressed her determination to make it to the Mullanpur stadium, as it was PBKS’s last home game in Chandigarh before they move to Dharamshala.
“Hope I can make it to the Mullanpur stadium… I’m just gonna pretend it’s cricket fever n try to get some much-needed sleep,” she wrote in her post, also slamming fake news circulating about her.
True to her word, Preity was present in the stands, cheering for her team and later engaging warmly with the RCB players, including Virat.
Preity Zinta’s big screen comeback
Meanwhile, on the work front, Preity Zinta is gearing up for her return to films. She will be seen in Lahore 1947, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and co-starring Sunny Deol, Shabana Azmi, and Ali Fazal. The film is being produced by Aamir Khan Productions and marks her comeback after a long hiatus from mainstream cinema.
