In a now-deleted social media video, Babil Khan was seen criticizing the Bollywood industry, and especially a couple of actors like – Ananya Panday, Arjun Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Adarsh Gourav.
His meltdown stirred a buzz online. Everyone was worried about the actor, and things took a more suspicious turn when Babil Khan’s official account got deactivated. Soon, Babil’s team released an official statement saying that Khan was having a difficult day, and his words had been taken out of context. In no time, everyone came in his support, even actors whose name Babil dropped in his video shared that they are with Khan and will always be there for him.
Worried fans express concern for Babil Khan
Though the statement mentioned that Babil’s words were misinterpreted, the netizens are worried about the actor. The X has been flooding with messages and posts, where users have expressed their concern for Babil Khan.
“What happened to Babil Khan guys? He is looking so mentally disturbed in that vdo. Hope he is fine. Every time when a talented comes he suffers in #bollywood. What in the world is going on there? Dear Babil pls take care of yourself we are always here to support you Don’t worry❤️,” wrote a user.
Another internet user wrote – “man i just hope Babil Khan is alright and is surrounded by people that love him during difficult times, that guy is such a sweetheart. bollywood truly doesn’t deserve him”
An user shared a long post, where it was mentioned – “Babil Khan was angry and he vented his anger out on social media through a video where he showed his vulnerability as a human being. It was scary. As a parent if I would see my kid in this state of mind I would panic at my own failure as a guardian of my child.
But many good things came out of the video. Many people saw their own vulnerability in Babil Khan and therefore there is hardly any criticism about his behaviour. What Babil did would be wrong in many ways, but it is also right in many ways.
A 26 year old, who loved his father and lost him, must be dealing with tremendous unresolved mental challenges. Plus the pressure of performing and succeeding in a highly competitive industry like Bollywood is not easy. There would also be whispers of nepotism going around Babil which is not easy to deal with. And this pressure came out in a social media post. It is ugly to look at, but such is life. We are not how we project ourselves to be. ”

“Over the past few years, Babil Khan has earned immense love and appreciation for his work, as well as for his openness about his mental health journey. Like anyone else, Babil is allowed to have difficult days — and this was one of them. We want to reassure all his well-wishers that he is safe and will be feeling better soon.
That said, a video of Babil has been widely misinterpreted and taken out of context.
In the clip, Babil was sincerely acknowledging a few of his peers whom he believes are making meaningful contributions to the evolving landscape of Indian cinema. His mention of artists like Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, Adarsh Gourav, Arjun Kapoor, and Arijit Singh came from a place of genuine admiration — for their authenticity, passion, and efforts to restore credibility and heart in the industry.
