Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty and Indian cricketer KL Rahul are soaking in the joys of their newest chapter as parents. Celebrating their very first Mother’s Day with daughter Evaarah, the couple shared heartwarming glimpses of love, family, and gratitude.On May 11, KL Rahul took to his Instagram stories and posted a monochrome throwback from the couple’s post-wedding bash.In the photo, Athiya is seen beaming with joy alongside her mother Mana Shetty and mother-in-law, creating a beautiful generational moment. “A quiet thank you to the women who do it all. To the hearts behind every home. Happy Mother’s Day,” KL wrote, adding a white heart emoji.
But it was his next post that truly melted hearts, a tender photo of Athiya holding baby Evaarah close in her arms. With the baby’s back to the camera and Athiya’s partial face visible, the intimacy of the moment spoke volumes. “Watching you take on motherhood with so much strength, grace and patience has made me fall in love with u even more,” KL gushed. “Happy 1st Mother’s Day baby. Evaarah is so lucky to have you,” he added, sealing the message with a red heart and a kiss emoji.
Earlier in the day, Athiya also shared a heartfelt tribute to her own mother. Posting a quote that read, “I would pick my mother to be my mother again in any and every lifetime,” she captioned it with, “Happy Mother’s Day to my universe,” alongside a red-heart emoji. She also posted a collage of unseen pictures from her post-wedding festivities and shared a sweet glimpse of the sunflower bouquet she received on the occasion.
Proud grandfather Suniel Shetty joined the celebrations too, posting an endearing candid of him holding Athiya in his arms, along with the caption, “Happy first Mother’s Day @athiyashetty.” Athiya replied adorably, “But still your baby,” followed by a laughing emoji.
Athiya and KL Rahul welcomed their daughter Evaarah on March 24, 2025, and have since been basking in the bliss of parenthood.
