Oklahoma City Thunder shooting guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been making headlines ever since he won the MVP award. He not only treated his teammates to Rolex watches but also gave each of them an entire gift basket.And it didn’t include the regular eatables and cute goodies, but jackets, headphones, and iPhones.

ESPN’s NBA analyst Shams Charania shared the details of the components of the gift basket, which he estimated to be worth more than $10,000. He said on NBA Today, “This wasn’t your ordinary cheese plates, fruits gift basket,” and added that the basket instead had iPhones, Beats by Dre headphones, Canada Goose jackets with the Thunder’s NBA-best 68–14 regular season record embroidered on them, besides the Rolex watches which were seen in the videos going viral after his MVP win.After winning the MVP award, Alexander thanked his teammates first before turning his focus to the team administration, management crew, fitness trainers, and family members. He said, “I would like to start this whole, I guess, speech with just thanking my teammates. I can’t say enough how much you guys mean to me, and not only as like a basketball player but, like, as family.”“I know you guys know, we do everything together, on and off the court. We go shopping, we eat. You guys are really like my brothers, and I really mean that, and without you guys, none of this would be possible, and I want you guys to know this award is your award, too, so thank you guys so much,” he added.Soon after Alexander won the NBA’s MVP award, a video of his teammates showing off their Rolex watches went viral. The player won the award after beating Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic, Milwaukee Bucks power forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics in the voting.Antetokounmpo jokingly reacted in disbelief by dropping a hilarious comment on Shams Charania’s tweet about Alexander’s MVP win. “What??!!!!
