Reports are doing the rounds that Pakistani TikTok star Sana Yousaf was killed inside her home in Islamabad on Monday. Police officials believe that it can be a case of honour killing. Further, another report, by The Express Tribune, stated that the attacker, who was allegedly a relative or a person she knew, had come to visit Sana at the house. After a brief interaction outside, he allegedly shot her at point-blank range and then fled the scene.“Sana Yousuf, who hailed from Upper Chitral and resided in Sector G-13 of Islamabad, was fatally shot by a guest who had come to visit her. The assailant fled immediately after the incident, and a manhunt is now underway,” police officials told the media.Though the motive behind the killing hasn’t been unveiled, as aforementioned, the train of suspicion is heading toward honour killing. Reports say Sana’s mortal remains were shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for post-mortem examination. Meanwhile, the police continue their investigation; so far, no arrest has been made.

She actively utilised her platform to promote discussions on women’s rights, culture, and education, particularly targeting younger audiences. As a result, she developed a significant online presence, gaining over 500,000 followers on Instagram.Although not much is known about her early life and education, it is said that Sana was a first-year medical student. Beyond entertainment, Sana was known for her brands’ collaborations, and she used to encourage young girls to be more expressive via her platform.
