NEW DELHI: Cricket is no stranger to interruptions — rain delays, pitch invaders, sight screen issues, injuries, and equipment changes have all been part of the game.
However, a new kind of disruption occurred during the second Test between England and the West Indies at Trent Bridge, Nottingham.
During the match, a ‘unicorn balloon‘ unexpectedly drifted onto the field, causing a brief halt in play.
England Cricket’s social media shared a video of the balloon’s entrance and the ensuing delay, with a ground steward quickly removing it.
The caption read, “Only at cricket,” sparking laughter among fans.
