Kangana Ranaut recently revealed a deeply personal chapter from her family’s past, the loss of her elder brother just days after his birth. She said her mother’s firstborn, a baby boy, passed away around ten days after being born in a hospital. “Till now, no one knows why that child did not survive,” Kangana shared in an interview with Hauterrfly, adding that her mother believed the umbilical cord might have been cut a little too much.The incident left her mother deeply affected. According to Kangana, her grandmother then took charge, insisting that no one in the family would go to the hospital for childbirth again. As a result, her mother went on to deliver three children at home, in the same room, and her aunt had two children there as well.How her father’s words fuelled her ambitionThe Queen actor also reflected on her relationship with her father, sharing that his remarks, often meant to belittle her, instead sparked her determination to succeed. “My father used to say, ‘You will have to study a lot if you want to have a family like this.’ He would tell me that if I didn’t study, I wouldn’t be able to find a good life partner,” she recalled.

While acknowledging that the life her parents envisioned for her was comfortable, Kangana admitted she never wanted it for herself. “I knew that whatever life they are offering me is very good, but I don’t want this. Thank you very much,” she said.
