The trailer for ‘Dhurandhar’, starring Ranveer Singh in the lead, has reportedly received a “UA 16+” certification from India’s Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

The buzz around the Aditya Dhar directorial is already building, even though the film is still three months away from release. ‘Dhurandhar’ is slated to hit theatres on December 5, 2025.The film features a stellar ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, and Arjun Rampal, with Sara Arjun in a pivotal role.

Social media erupted over the 20-year age difference, with comments ranging from concerns about appropriateness to calls for narrative context before judgment. Criticism included remarks like “It’s giving dad-daughter vibes” and other expressions of discomfort.
Box office clash
Dhurandhar is set to release alongside two other big films on the same day. Shahid Kapoor’s untitled Vishal Bhardwaj project and Prabhas’s The Raja Saab will also hit screens on December 5. Interestingly, Sanjay Dutt, who appears in both ‘Dhurandhar’ and ‘The Raja Saab’, has said he hopes the films avoid direct competition and that each finds its own success at the box office.
