Alia Bhatt has tried many genres in Bollywood with her versatile acting, from the gritty streets of ‘Gully Boy’ to the glamour of ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ and the powerful story of ‘Gangubai Kathaiwadi.‘ Yet, despite her impressive range, there is still one type of film she has not done yet: a fun, lighthearted comedy that her little daughter, Raha, can watch. Now, the actress is ready to explore this new side, blending her talent with stories the whole family can enjoy.
Alia chooses films with careful curiosity
In a recent chat with Grazia, Alia revealed that she is juggling multiple projects and that the way she chooses films has changed over the years. She said, “I’m very curious to know what it is that leads us to make these different choices at different times in our lives. I feel like there is a deeper core level there. It’s also absorbing what’s happening around you.”Alia also shared how important it is to follow her instincts rather than someone else’s advice. “But at the end of the day, if you do go ahead with a choice that is influenced by someone else and you don’t naturally feel it right but do it as per calculation, you always end up regretting that choice. That’s the way I look at it. Not that I have many regrets in life.”
Alia wants to do a comedy film
It seems like daughter Raha has become a major influence on Alia’s career choices. “I haven’t made a film that my daughter can watch, so these are little things that come from within,” she said. This personal motivation is drawing her towards comedy, a genre she has not yet explored.“The reason I’m being pulled towards a comedy is because I haven’t done one. You have to find something that’s inspiring you or pulling you towards it,” Alia explained. She also hinted at upcoming projects without revealing much. “I’ve been putting it out for a while. There is some exciting stuff, nothing I can fully talk about, but let’s just say if I put my heart into it, I will end up going in that direction.”
