Veteran actor-comedian Johnny Lever has worked with several Bollywood stars, including Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. In an interview, the comedian-actor shared that SRK is a hardworking person. He also talked about how Salman used to tease Shah Rukh on the sets of ‘Karan Arjun’. Here’s what Johnny Lever recalled during a podcast.
Johnny Lever says Shah Rukh Khan was weak at dance and fights
On a podcast with Ranveer Allahabadia, since Johnny Lever worked with Shah Rukh Khan in multiple movies when he was young, the comedian-actor was asked if he had any idea that Khan would become such a huge star. The podcaster also asked what was so special about SRK.
To that, Johnny Lever said, “Shah Rukh Khan jo hai na, uss aadmi jaisa mehanti maine kabhi nahi dekha (I have not seen anyone as hardworking as Shah Rukh Khan).” The actor added that SRK was weak in fighting scenes as well as in dance.He further shared that when they all were shooting for ‘Karan Arjun’, while Salman Khan used to give the scene one take, Shah Rukh Khan made repeated attempts. He said, “Salman Khan take karta tha… inkey wajeh se retake hojata tha.”

Johnny Lever went on to share, “Shooting ke baad, hotel me jaake fir, neeche lobby me jaake kahi kamra leke kahi practice kar rahe hai dancer ko pakad ke (After shooting, in the hotel, he would go down to the lobby and get a room to practice with the choreographer).”He said that Salman Khan used to make fun of SRK at that time. The veteran comedian recalled Salman saying, “Bada star ban raha hai, bada star… Dance karke bata. Salman firki leta tha, mazak karta tha… mazak udata tha Shah Rukh Khan ki (Salman Khan would make fun of SRK, saying, ‘How will you become a star? First do this’. He used to joke around).”Johnny Lever stated that SRK has made himself, and now he is good at dance as well as fighting.
