The Punjabi entertainment community is mourning the demise of a talented and beloved star, Rajvir Jawanda. The 35-year-old singer-actor passed away today, at 10:55 pm, after being in critical condition for 11 days, as confirmed by the hospital. Hours after the reports of his demise came out, his remains were brought home.

The news of his passing left everyone heartbroken. The singer’s funeral is scheduled for tomorrow, and ahead of it, his mortal remains have been brought to his native village, Pona. A video shared by Sirf Panjabiyat showed a vehicle carrying his remains to his village, with several people gathered along the way to pay their respects to their beloved star.

In an obituary post, shared by Ammy Virk and several other Punjabi stars, it has been mentioned – “With profound grief, we inform you, our beloved Rajvir Jawanda, today has completed his circle of life and has found a place in the feet of the Almighty. His last rites will be held tomorrow.”It further had details about the time and place – Rajvir Jawanda’s funeral will be held tomorrow, i.e., on October 9, in Pona, Ludhiana.Rajvir Jawanda is survived by his wife and two children, a son and a daughter.

Rajvir Jawanda’s cause of death

“Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda passed away at 10:55 AM on October 8, 2025, at Fortis Hospital, Mohali. He was admitted on September 27, 2025, in an extremely critical condition following a road accident that caused severe spinal injuries and brain damage. Despite extensive medical support and continuous monitoring by the Critical Care and Neurosurgery teams, he succumbed to multiple organ failure this morning. Our deepest condolences to his family and fans,” Fortis Hospital shared in a statement announcing the news of Rajvir’s demise and the cause of his death.On September 27, Rajvir Jawanda met with a road accident. It happened near Himachal Pradesh’s Baddi, after he reportedly lost control as a stray cattle came in front of his vehicle suddenly. He suffered multiple brain and spine injuries and succumbed to multiple organ failure.
