Saif Ali Khan along with Akshay Kumar had recently appeared on Twinkle Khanna and Kajol‘s talk show, ‘Two Much’. During this chat, as all the four of them opened up on husband-wife dynamics, Akshay dropped some major words of wisdom. When asked about how him and Twinkle manage to be together despite being so different and how they deal with arguments, the ‘Khiladi’ actor admitted that it’s very important as a husband to just listen to the wife. Akshay said, “She is fire. I am water. She says whatever she wants to. I just keep myself calm and quiet. Just listen and try to understand what she’s trying to say.” He also cheekily adds, “Do whatever you want, but listen. I think every husband should be a good listener.” Saif quipped and said, “Or just pretend that you’re listening.” This reminded Saif of an advice given to him by his father Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. Saif recalled that his father told him to just listen to them, or think about something else, while looking at them, but never to speak during fights. Saif said, “He told me, ‘I just think about playing cricket or something during the argument.’ I don’t say anything.”During the chat, Saif also opened up on his recent accident where he was stabbed by a burglar who entered his house. Saif got into a fight with him to protect his son Jeh and in turn got injured. He was rushed to the hospital immediately and underwent a surgery. As he returned home from the hospital after about five days, he walked and greeted the fans, and the media. This led to people questioning him on the incident. Saif broke silence on it and said, “When everything was finished… a lot of advice came in, including regarding how to go out. The media were curious. Nobody was listening to me. It was very bad, yes, but I could walk. They had stitched it up. It was painful to walk, but I could. The wheelchair was not required.” Reacting to Saif, Twinkle revealed that his mother Sharmila Tagore told her that she had advised Saif to go in a wheelchair. But Saif said he did not do it because he wanted to give out the message that he’s fine now and did not want the media, his fans and everyone else to get worried unnecessarily.
