Veteran actor Dharmendra’s health has once again caught the attention of fans and the film fraternity. The 89-year-old was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai after experiencing breathlessness. While initial reports suggested that he was stable, updates on 10 November 2025 raised concern, with multiple sources claiming that the actor was placed on ventilator support in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for close monitoring.
Hema Malini gives an update on Dharmendra’s health
Now giving an update on husband’s health, actress Hema Malini told Hindustan Times, “We’re hoping for his speedy recovery.” The same report revealed, she was seen today at the hospital along with son, Sunny Deol, who also arrived to check on his father.

Sunny Deol’s team clarified to Bombay Times, “It’s rumour mongering like always, Sir is getting better. He’s under observation. There’s nothing to worry.”
Dharmendra’s was earlier admitted due to breathlessness
This is not the first time Dharmendra’s health has raised concern. Earlier this month, on 1 November, reports had already emerged about him being admitted to the hospital. On 1 November, a hospital staff member told Vickey Lalwani, “Dharmendra came in complaining of breathlessness. He is in the ICU and is sleeping now.”
Dharmendra on the work front
Despite minor health issues in recent years, including cataract surgery earlier this year, Dharmendra has remained active in films. He will turn 90 in December and continues to inspire with his work. The actor, famous for the classic film ‘Sholay’, went on to star in hits like ‘Chupke Chupke’, ‘Satyakam’, ‘Seeta Aur Geeta’, ‘Yaadon Ki Baaraat’ and ‘Dream Girl’, among many others.The evergreen star was last seen in the 2024 film ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. He is next set to appear in ‘Ikkis’, directed by Sriram Raghavan, alongside Agastya Nanda and Simar Bhatia. The film is scheduled to release on 25 December 2025.
