High Court refuses to quash FIR over ‘sar tan se juda’ slogan at rally | India News

PRAYAGRAJ: Allahabad High Court has refused to quash the FIR filed against two men accused of raising “sar tan se juda” slogan during a procession in Bareilly on Sept 26 when the agitated crowd clashed with police, reports Rajesh Kumar Pandey. A division bench Monday dismissed a writ petition filed by Gauhar Khan and Shakib Jamal, seeking quashing of the FIR and a direction to police not to take any coercive action against them. The Bareilly procession had been organised to protest police action against a similar procession held in Kanpur on Sept 4 during Barawafat (Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi) rally.
