Ayushamann Khurrana’s Thamma directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Paresh Rawal witnessed another crash on Tuesday as it collected just Rs 15 lakh after collecting Rs 40 lakh on Monday. In the last 24 hours the film has witnessed a 62 % drop in its collection. The Tuesday collection marks the lowest ever collection of the film in its 22 day run at the box office. The drop could also be because the news about its streaming date began doing the rounds. The film would be available on OTT platform from 2nd December onwards.The film is all set to become the second biggest hit of Ayushmann’s career, it is now at 3rd position. The second position is held by Badhaai Ho starring Gajraj Rao, Neena Gupta and Sanya Malhotra which had a lifetime collection of Rs 137.31 crore. Thamma’s total collection now stands at Rs 131.61 crore and now needs little less than Rs 6 crore to take the second spot.
Ayushmann is gearing up for the best year of his career in terms of number of releases in 2026 as there are three big films lined up for him. His next would be Mudassar Aziz’s Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 with Rakul Preet Singh, Sara Ali Khan and Wamiqa Gabbi which would be released on the occasion of Holi. His next would be the co-production between Karan Johar and Gunnet Monga with Sara Ali Khan. He is currently in the middle of his shoot with Sooraj Barjatya which has been reportedly titled as Yeh Prem Mol Lliya, he’s taking the mantle of Prem ahead with this one. The film has a 60 day shoot at Mehboob studios in Mumbai where Sharvari is expected to join him soon.Thamma is expected to face stiff competition with the release of De De Pyaar De 2 with Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh, R Madhavan and Meezaan Jaafri from this Friday onwards.
