Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: A Legend Chapter 1 has completed a spectacular 50 days in cinema halls, reaffirming the franchise’s place as one of the most powerful forces in contemporary Indian cinema. The film has enjoyed a steady run at the box office despite it releasing on OTT on the 29th day of the release. The film, a prequel to the 2022 blockbuster Kantara, has shattered expectations and emerged as a massive commercial triumph, collecting a staggering Rs 621.35 crore across all languages.The film had the potential of crossing Jawan headlined by Shah Rukh Khan as the 6th biggest film of Indian Cinema which had collected Rs 640.25 crore had the OTT release been dealyed.
