Farhan Akhtar held a special screening in Delhi of his latest film ‘120 Bahadur,’ which was attended by the top Indian Army officials. The film, which is based on the backdrop of the 1962 India-China war that averted the potential occupation of a region in Ladakh in the Battle of Rezang La, released in the theatres this Friday, November 21, 2025.

Sharing a celebratory and gratifying message on his Instagram, Akhtar posted multiple candid snapshots of them during a chat in the theatre. “A proud moment as General Upendra Dwivedi, PVSM, AVSM, Brigadiers, Major Generals, Army officers and their families joined us for a special screening of 120 Bahadur in Delhi,” he said in the caption. Many comments commemorated the moment and congratulated him with hearts and kind words.Directed by Razneesh Ghai, the cast members include Farhan Akhtar as Major Shaitan Singh, Rashii Khanna as Shagun Kanwari Singh, Brijesh Karanwal, Ajinkya Deo, Eijaz Khan, Atul Singh, Vivaan Bhatena, Ankit Siwach, Sparsh Walia, Dhanveer Singh, Sahib Verma, and more.
Farhan Akhtar wanted to make the film tax free
Recently, Akhar expressed his hope to make the patriotic film tax-free, calling it a ‘must-watch’ for every Indian. He added, “We tend to forget what happened before us,” in an interview with PTI at the IFFI red carpet. Moreover, he mentioned the story of Major Shaitan Singh is not well-known, and it should be learnt along with the 120 soldiers that fought beside him. Prior to the release, the team of ‘120 Bahadur’ met Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, marking the launch of the new post stamps to honor the soldiers who lost their lives. “What better way to honour the bravery and sacrifice of our martyred soldiers,” Akhtar said, before adding, “We are extremely grateful🙏🏽.”
