Bollywood live-wire Ranveer Singh has been making waves online for his upbeat dance performance at the sangeet of Netra Mantena, daughter of US-based billionaires Padmaja and Ram Raju Mantena. However, after the buzz around the actor’s shenanigans at the event died down, a heart-melting moment from the celebrations has now gone viral.

A video from the event, now circulating on social media, shows the actor fondly reminiscing the early days of his relationship with wife, Deepika Padukone. Ranveer said, “I want to tell you that Udaipur is like a lucky charm for love stories. I shot a film called Ram-Leela here… have you seen it? Our love story blossomed during the long Udaipur schedule of Ram-Leela.”
Ranveer calls Udaipur ‘lucky’ for love stories
In the clip, the doting hubby and father of one, shared a heartfelt reason why Udaipur has a special place in his heart. Dubbing the place as ‘lucky for love stories’, he shared his personal connection to the city.Drawing a connection to the wedding of the young couple, Ranveer told the bride and groom, Netra and Vamsi, “Since then, it has been 13 years of togetherness, 7 years of marriage, and one beautiful baby girl! So you see, Udaipur is very lucky for love stories.”
Ranveer and Deepika’s relationship
Ranveer and Deepika, one of Bollywood’s most loved power couples, reportedly fell in love on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s blockbuster ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram-Leela’.Released in 2013, the film was a huge box office success and marked the beginning of Ranveer and Deepika’s off-screen romance. The pair later starred together in ‘Bajirao Mastani‘ (2015), ‘Padmaavat’ (2018).They tied the knot on November 14, 2018, in an intimate ceremony at Lake Como, Italy. They went on to work together again in the sports film, ’83’ (2021), and shared screen space again in the action film ‘Singham Again’, while Deepika was pregnant with her first child.The couple welcomed a daughter, who they named Dua Padukone Singh, in September 2024. They revealed Dua’s face for the first time in a family photo shared on Diwali this year.

On the work front, Raveer will be seen next in the action film ‘Dhurandhar’ that is set to hit the big screens this December. Meanwhile, Deepika has been busy shooting for Shah Rukh Khan‘s next film ‘King’.
