Palaash Muchhal halted the wedding himself, reveals his mother

Palaash Muchhal’s mother, Amita Muchhal, revealed that it was Palaash—not Smriti—who decided to postpone their wedding after Smriti’s father fell seriously ill. Deeply attached to him, Palaash refused to go ahead with the rituals despite the haldi being completed. The emotional stress took a toll, leaving Palaash in tears and eventually hospitalised for four hours under observation. His sister, singer Palak Muchhal, also visited him.Amita shared that Smriti’s father had been in high spirits just a day earlier, dancing and posting on Instagram, before suddenly feeling unwell while preparing for the baraat, prompting an ambulance call. Following the incident, Smriti and her bridesmaids removed all wedding photos from social media. Both families are now prioritising health before rescheduling the ceremony.
