Gold prices eased on Tuesday as traders chose to cash in recent gains, mirroring the softer sentiment in overseas markets. The pullback ended the strong run in bullion seen in the previous session.On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the benchmark contract slipped to Rs 1,30,266 per 10 grams. The February 2026 futures also headed lower, giving up Rs 386, or 0.3 per cent, to close at the same level. Trading activity remained firm, with 13,413 lots changing hands during the session.The domestic weakness aligned with price movements in global markets. On Comex, December gold futures slipped by $20.1, or 0.47%, settling at $4,219.2 per ounce.Analysts attributed the correction to traders unwinding positions after bullion hit multi-week highs. “Gold fell to $4,210 per ounce as investors took profits on Tuesday after prices reached a six-week peak in the previous session, amid mounting expectations of a US interest rate cut next week,” said Jigar Trivedi, Senior Research Analyst at Reliance Securities.Here is how much the yellow metal costs in your city today:
