Bhojpuri superstar Pawan Singh landed in a troubling situation after he received threatening calls from unknown individuals shortly after announcing that he would share the stage with Salman Khan on ‘Bigg Boss 19.’ As per the reports, the callers demanded money and warned him against performing with Salman Khan.
Pawan Singh files complaints against threats
Following this, as reported by IANS, Pawan Singh lodged two separate complaints with the Mumbai Police. Both complaints have now been handed over to the Anti-Extortion Cell of the Mumbai Crime Branch, and the matter is being treated with urgency.
Threats began after his final announcement
The threats started a day after Pawan Singh announced on Instagram that he would join Salman Khan for the ‘Bigg Boss 19′ grand finale. His post read, “Bhaijaan ke saath Bigg Boss 19 ke Grand Finale mein humare saath judenge Powerstar Pawan Singh.”He later performed on the reality show with Salman Khan and former contestant Neelam Giri. But soon after the announcement, calls and messages began reaching him and his team from multiple unknown numbers traced from Bihar to Mumbai.
Two police complaints filed for safety
After receiving the threats, Pawan Singh’s team approached the Mumbai Police and submitted a written complaint. As per the information provided, Pawan Singh has now filed two complaints after receiving extortion threats reportedly linked to the Bishnoi gang. The Anti-Extortion Cell is now handling the case, and police officials have confirmed that an investigation is under way to trace the origin of the calls and ensure Pawan Singh’s safety.
Callers claim link to Bishnoi gang
Reportedly, the threats became more alarming when one of the callers allegedly claimed to be a member of the Bishnoi gang. The person demanded money and warned Pawan Singh not to share the stage with Salman Khan. People who manage Pawan Singh’s work also received similar threats, adding more pressure to the situation.
