The NJZ and ADOR case has a major turn of events as the company officially announced that Danielle will be leaving the firm. In a notice posted by them today, they confirmed that after much consideration, Danielle would not be able to continue with the group under their label.
Management company announces Danielle will not join them
On December 20, as per Allkpop, NJZ’s management agency announced that they had been in discussion with Minji, Hanni, Danielle, and their respective family members about their future with the firm. After much consideration, it was confirmed that Hanni will be joining the group and the company. They further revealed that the same cannot be said for Danielle. “However, in Danielle’s case, we have determined that it will be difficult for her to continue working with us. Therefore, we have notified her of the termination of her exclusive contract. Furthermore, we plan to hold one family member of Danielle and former CEO Min Hee Jin, who are significantly responsible for causing this dispute and the delayed return of NJZ, legally accountable,” the notice read. They also confirmed that while nothing has been finalised, they are also in contact with Minji.
Distorted information was provided to members of the girl group
As per the statement, the company found that false and ‘distorted’ information had been reaching the members of NewJeans, which had caused the overall delay in any group activities and further promotions as promised earlier. “The company and the artist agreed that, to restore the love of the fans and the public, it would take time to resolve the misunderstandings completely. Furthermore, we have decided to take the opportunity to address the various controversies that arose during the dispute, and we are currently discussing the timing and method,” they concluded.
About NewJeans’ controversy
A year ago, members of the k-pop group NewJeans left their company without notice, and filed for a lawsuit to terminate their contracts with the firm. They alleged over the course of the past 12 months that there had been bias in the company, and that their trust had been breached. In November 2025, however, the final verdict was presented by the court, which ruled that nothing of the sort had happened, and cited that the girls’ contracts are still valid until their estimated time of expiry. Ever since the announcement, while ADOR had issued statements about there already being enough content for a comeback, no news had been released. Fans had been left wondering about NewJeans’ future as no further information was being provided to the public.
