The makers have released the trailer of the globally popular series ‘Stranger Things 5’ finale episode today, and the fans of the supernatural thriller have gone berserk. The last episode is set to stream on December 31 and later in theaters as well. Let’s learn more about it.
‘Stranger Things’ finale episode trailer is out
Titled ‘The Rightside Up,’ the finale is the eighth episode of the fifth season of the series. The first four episodes of the season were dropped on Thanksgiving Day as ‘Volume 1’, while the next three episodes were released on Christmas as ‘Volume 2’.
The second chapter of the fifth season ended with Episode 7, in which Max (Sadie Sink) reveals the antagonist Vecna’s plan to merge the world with a parallel dimension on the other side of the Upside Down, dubbed the Abyss.The counter team makes a plan to enter the Abyss and rescue Vecna’s kidnapped kids and then destroy it with a bomb. Now, the new trailer is full of iconic moments from the entire series, including battles with Vecna and other monsters.Titled “one last trailer,” Netflix shared the trailer on the internet.

The makers of the show, Matt and Ross Duffer, created ‘Stranger Things’ almost a decade ago. The first installment of the franchise was released in July 2016. Within no time, it became a massive hit, with Seasons 2 and 3 getting released in 2017 and 2019, respectively. The fourth season was dropped in two separate volumes in May and July of 2022.According to the Variety report, the finale episode’s runtime is around two hours and five minutes. The episode will be screened in cinemas in over 500 theaters across the United States and Canada.The first screenings will begin on New Year’s Eve, coinciding with the episode’s release on Netflix. It will play in theaters through January 1, 2026.
