HYBE has announced the global launch of the animated series DARK MOON: THE BLOOD ALTAR, an adaptation of its original webtoon of the same name.The series that has been created in collaboration with K-pop group ENHYPEN, reportedly began streaming worldwide from January 9. The series is available across more than 80 regions worldwide, with both dubbed and subtitled versions in eight languages.DARK MOON: THE BLOOD ALTAR is produced by renowned animation studios Aniplex and TROYCA, and is directed by Shoko Shiga, known for her work on Overtake!. Commenting on the launch, Aniplex producer Kurosaki said, “Based on a globally popular webtoon with a universally appealing vampire narrative, we believe that DARK MOON: THE BLOOD ALTAR will resonate with audiences around the world.”The official synopsis reads, “In the seaside city of Riverfield stands Decelis Academy, home to seven mysterious boys sharing the same secret: They’re vampires, hiding their murky pasts. When Sooha, a female student who hates vampires, transfers to the academy, the boys find themselves irresistibly drawn to her. As strange events shake the city, old sins and buried secrets resurface, and their world begins to fracture.“
