5 new Amrit Bharat Express today! PM Modi flags off 2 trains, 3 more to come — Check timing, stations, routes & more

Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off two new Amrit Bharat Express trains in Assam on Sunday, marking another major step in expanding India’s long-distance rail network aimed at improving travel experience and connectivity for the common man. The newest Amrit Bharat trains are: Dibrugarh–Gomtinagar Amrit Bharat train and Kamakhya–Rohtak Amrit Bharat Express.Apart from these, PM Modi will be flagging off three more trains in West Bengal, taking the total to 5 trains. In West Bengal, the PM will be flagging off Kolkata (Howrah) – Anand Vihar Terminal train, Kolkata (Sealdah) – Banaras train and the Kolkata (Santragachi) – Tambaram train. The launch forms part of the introduction of nine new Amrit Bharat Express services, significantly broadening the reach of the network to meet rising passenger demand and improve affordable and comfortable long-distance travel. Earlier on Saturday, PM Modi flagged off 4 Amrit Bharat trains on the following routes: Alipurduar – SMVT Bengaluru Amrit Bharat Express, Alipurduar – Mumbai (Panvel) Amrit Bharat Express, New Jalpaiguri- Nagercoil Amrit Bharat Express and New Jalpaiguri- Tiruchirappalli Amrit Bharat Express.Here’s what we know about the new trains:

Kamakhya–Rohtak Amrit Bharat Express

The Kamakhya–Rohtak Amrit Bharat Express will link Kamakhya in Assam with Rohtak in Haryana, strengthening long-distance connectivity between the North-East and northern India. The Kamakhya–Rohtak Amrit Bharat Express will operate as train number 15671 on the onward journey from Kamakhya to Rohtak. The return service from Rohtak to Kamakhya will run as train number 15672.Timing:The weekly service will leave Kamakhya at 10 pm on Fridays and arrive in Rohtak at 2.45 pm on Sundays. On the return journey, the train will depart from Rohtak at 10.10 pm on Sundays and reach Kamakhya at 12.15 pm on Tuesdays. Stations:

Dibrugarh–Gomtinagar Amrit Bharat Express

The Dibrugarh–Gomtinagar Amrit Bharat Express will establish a direct rail link between the North-Eastern region and northern India. The Dibrugarh–Gomtinagar Amrit Bharat Express will operate as train number 15949 from Dibrugarh to Gomtinagar. The return service from Gomtinagar to Dibrugarh will run as train number 15950.Timing: The train will depart Dibrugarh at 9 pm on Fridays and reaches Gomtinagar (Lucknow) at 1:30 pm on Sundays. On the return journey, it will leave Gomtinagar at 1:40 pm on Tuesdays and arrive in Dibrugarh at 7:40 pm.Stations:

The Santragachi–Tambaram Amrit Bharat Express will strengthen east–south rail connectivity by linking eastern India with southern metropolitan and suburban regions. The Tambaram–Santragachi Amrit Bharat Express will run as train number 16107 on the onward journey. The return service from Santragachi to Tambaram will operate as train number 16108.Timing: From Tambaram, the train will depart at 3:30 pm on Fridays and reach Santragachi at 8:15 pm on Saturdays. On the return journey, it will leave Santragachi at 10 am on Mondays and arrive at Tambaram at 11 pm on Tuesdays.Stations:

  • Chennai Egmore
  • Gudur
  • Vijayawada
  • Duvvada

Howrah–Anand Vihar Amrit Bharat Express

The Howrah–Anand Vihar Amrit Bharat Express will provide a direct rail link between eastern India and the National Capital Region. The Howrah–Anand Vihar Terminal Amrit Bharat Express will operate as train number 13065. The return service from Anand Vihar Terminal to Howrah will run as train number 13066.Timing: The train will leave Howrah at 11:10 pm on Thursdays and arrive at Anand Vihar Terminal at 2:50 am on Saturdays. On the return leg, it will depart Anand Vihar at 5:15 am on Saturdays and reach Howrah at 10:50 am on Sundays.Stations:

The Sealdah–Banaras Amrit Bharat Express will enhance connectivity between eastern India and one of the country’s most significant spiritual centres. The Banaras–Sealdah Amrit Bharat Express will operate as train number 22588 on the onward journey. The return service from Sealdah to Banaras will run as train number 22587.Timing: From Banaras, the train will departure at 10:10 pm and arrives at Sealdah at 9:55 am the next day. On the return journey, it will leave Sealdah at 7:30 pm and reache Banaras at 7:20 am the following morning.Stations:
