Speculation is rife that the hunk has been offered the role of the next James Bond. At a time when buzz about the film and its casting has been doing the rounds online, new reports suggest that the Australian actor is the top pick for ‘Bond 26’ director Denis Villeneuve.

While no official casting announcement has been made, the race to succeed Daniel Craig as the iconic spy, 007, has been subjected to wild casting speculation. A number of names have been linked to the role in recent months, including Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Tom Holland, Harris Dickinson, Scott Rose-Marsh, and Callum Turner. Some recent reports even seemed to suggest that Turner may have had already secured the part.

At the same time, reports stated that as the actor was under 30, he could be a frontrunner, as the studio is considering a younger actor to lead the rebooted era after Craig’s turn in ‘No Time to Die’.Since his role in the teen drama ‘Euphoria’, Jacob has seen a meteoric rise in his acting career. His recent turn as Frankenstein won him an Oscar nomination and a Critics Choice Award win for Best Supporting Actor.

Bond 26 will be directed by Villeneuve and written by Steven Knight, creator of ‘Peaky Blinders’. Production is reportedly slated to begin by October 2026 or early 2027, with a release planned for 2028.
