Ajay Devgn is gearing up for the release of ‘Son Of Sardaar 2’ and at the moment he is promoting the film. On personal front, Ajay has been married to Kajol for around 26 years and have two kids — Nysa and Yug. Kajol and Ajay also serve goals for how real they are every time they are seen together and their fun banter as they are so different from each other, is quite endearing. In a recent appearance on Archana Puran Singh’s YouTube channel while promoting his upcoming film, Ajay opened up on his family dynamics.When asked if he’s ever tempted to mute his family’s group messages, Ajay didn’t hesitate. “I don’t respond to it,” he said, admitting that the group chat stays on mute. “Itni zyada bakwas chalti hai na aapas mein (There is so much nonsense going on) between the kids and all. I’m not there. No one waits for my response, and no one texts me.”
Archana, amused, asked whether Kajol ever reprimands him for ignoring the group. But Ajay clarified that wasn’t the case, and added with a grin that only the group chat is muted—his phone is always accessible. When Archana probed further—“How does Kajol get in touch if it’s urgent? Does she speak to your manager?”—Ajay immediately assured, “My phone is always available, just the group chat is muted.”The conversation also touched upon family vacations. Ajay revealed that daughter Nysa is the one orchestrating holiday plans, while son Yug would rather stay home. “Yug is very chill. Voh bolta hai mujhe ghar se nahi nikalna (He says I don’t want to go out). He is like, ‘why are you wasting money? Why are you traveling?’ He is exactly like me. On most of the holidays, Kajol and Nysa are doing everything and we are chilling.”Recently, Kajol offered a funny yet insightful take on what has kept their relationship strong: “I say this quite often that the secret to happy marriage is partial deafness and selective amnesia. You really need to forget certain things about your partner and sometimes unhearing things they said. It is very important.”She further explained their dynamic with characteristic wit and said, “Ajay and I are completely different otherwise hum logo ko itne saal nahi lagte (it wouldn’t have taken us so long), we would have separated long before.”
