Date:

Akshay Kumar’s son, Aarav Bhatia, has opted for an independent life away from Bollywood, pursuing fashion studies in London. He lives self-sufficiently, handling chores and shopping thriftily, while also excelling in martial arts with black belts and a national Judo gold. Akshay supports his son’s unique choices, despite hoping he would join films.

Akshay Kumar’s eldest son, Aarav Bhatia, has decided to stay away from Bollywood and follow his own interests. Leaving home at a young age, he has focused on his studies and sports, and is now building an independent life for himself.

A friend and guide

In a recent conversation with ABP News Akshay said, “I am not strict that job belongs to my wife. She is a very serious kind and she keeps us three kids — me, Nitara and Aarav — in line. I am more like a friend to my son. He is 23 years old and he has grown-up very fast. He is studying at the university and he is very much involved in his studies, he has no bad habits. He is more like Twinkle because she also studies a lot.”

Aarav’s choice to stay away from films

Elaborating further, he added, “He doesn’t want to come in films. He has told me straight, ‘Dad mere ko nahi aana (Dad I don’t want to come). I tell him to take the reins of my production company but he doesn’t want to do it. He wants to remain in fashion. He wants to be a designer. He is learning fashion at the moment and he’s happy in that life.” He added, “I want him to come in films but I am also happy with his decision.”

Focused on fashion and sports

In an earlier interview with Shikhar Dhawan, Akshay Kumar revealed that Aarav has been a simplistic child who isn’t interested in films. The focus has always been on fashion, sports, and martial arts. “I am happy the way Twinkle and I have brought up Aarav; he is a very simple boy. My daughter, on the other hand, likes clothes… We never forced him to do anything; he is interested in fashion; he doesn’t want to be a part of cinema. He came to me and said that ‘I don’t want to do films.’ I said, ‘This is your life, do what you want to do, ’” Kumar mentioned.

Independent life in London

To live an independent life away from Bollywood, Aarav Bhatia left home at 15. Following his passion, Akshay Kumar’s eldest son is now studying fashion at a university in London. While Akshay admitted he didn’t want to let him go at such a young age, he couldn’t help but remember that he himself had left home at 14 to follow his own dreams.Life in London has been quite different for Aarav. Akshay Kumar said, “He does his own laundry, cooks well, washes his utensils, and doesn’t even want to buy expensive clothes. In fact, he shops at a second-hand store, Thrifty, because he doesn’t believe in wasting things.”

Excellence in martial arts

Besides excelling in his chosen field, Aarav has also achieved remarkable success in martial arts, earning black belts in Kudo and Goju Ryu Karate, along with a gold medal in a national-level Judo competition. Before studying abroad, he attended Ecole Mondiale World School in Mumbai and graduated from United World College in Singapore, according to the Economic Times.
