‘Pushpa’ star Allu Arjun took to his social media handle to share wishes for his director, Sukumar, on his 56th birthday today. Sharing a picture on his social media handle, the actor called his birthday “a much more special day” for him than the filmmaker.
Allu Arjun wishes Sukumar on birthday
On his Instagram stories, Tollywood superstar Allu Arjun shared a picture of himself and Sukumar where the duo seems to be standing and having a casual talk. They can be spotted standing at the side of a flyover with tree leaves seen in the background. He mentioned that no words can express the happiness of having Sukumar in his life. Additionally, Allu Arjun also shared a post on his feed where he put a still from behind the scenes of the ‘Pushpa’ film. He wrote, “Happy Birthday, @aryasukku darling. It’s a special day for me… more than for you… because this day changed my life. No amount of wishes can convey the joy of having you in my life. Puttinandhuku thanks!!!”
Allu Arjun and Sukumar’s combo
Allu Arjun and Sukumar have worked on four films together. Sukumar’s debut film, ‘Arya’ starred Allu Arjun and became a blockbuster on its release, leading to a successful debut for the director and a breakout role for the Stylish superstar. They later joined hands in the sequel to the film ‘Arya 2’.
‘Pushpa’ franchise
They received their biggest success with the release of the ‘Pushpa’ franchise, for which they invested almost five years. ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, released in 2022, made over Rs 350 crore worldwide as per Sacnilk. Additionally, Allu Arjun won the National Film Award for Best Actor for his role. The second installment of the film was released in 2024 and broke records, minting over Rs 1742 crore worldwide.The duo will later work on the third part of the franchise, ‘Pushpa 3: The Rampage’, however have taken a break as they are working on their individual projects.
