Musician brothers Amaal and Armaan Malik were recently seen at Mumbai airport, making their first public appearance together after Amaal announced his separation from his parents. The duo was heading to an unknown destination, looking stylish in their casual outfits. Amaal was dressed in a black co-ord set, paired with a black beanie and transparent glasses, while Armaan wore blue jeans, a light green t-shirt, and black sunglasses. Both of them completed their looks with white trainers. Although they did not arrive together, their appearances were only minutes apart.
Amaal Malik on his mental health and the difficulties in his family
This sighting comes after Amaal openly spoke about his struggles with mental health and the difficulties in his family relationships. A few days earlier, Amaal had shared an emotional post on social media, revealing that he had been diagnosed with clinical depression. He wrote, “I’ve reached a point where I can no longer keep silent about the pain I’ve endured. For years, I’ve been made to feel like I am less in spite of spending days and nights toiling away to make a safe life for people.”
Amaal also spoke about the growing gap between him and his brother Armaan, saying their parents’ actions had played a part in their distance. He wrote, “The actions of my parents have been the reason we, as brothers, have grown so distant from each other.” He further announced that he would be cutting all personal ties with his family, explaining that it was not a decision made out of anger, but rather a necessary step for his own healing.
Father Daboo Malik‘s reaction
However, shortly after making this announcement, Amaal deleted his post and requested media outlets not to trouble his family. In response, his father, Daboo Malik, shared a heartfelt post on Instagram featuring a picture of Amaal kissing him on the cheek. In the image, the father and son were seen wearing matching white outfits. Daboo captioned the post with, “I love you.”
Amaal later clarified that despite his decision to separate from his parents, his bond with Armaan remained strong. He stated, “Nothing changes between us brothers, Armaan and I are one and nothing can come between us.”
