Ameesha Patel, known for Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai and Gadar, has delivered memorable performances in films like Humraaz and Bhool Bhulaiyaa. In 2023, she reprised her role in Gadar 2, which was a huge success. In a recent interview, she shares her thoughts on Bollywood’s Khans.
Talking to Bollywood Bubble, Ameesha reminisced about her world tour with Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Bobby Deol, Sunny Deol, and Bipasha Basu. She recalled how Salman never rehearsed, often leading to mix-ups on stage where they would accidentally sing each other’s lines, creating a fun and unpredictable experience. She mentioned that this particular show took place in either New Jersey or New York and praised Salman for his star presence.
Ameesha also shared that Aamir Khan personally chose her for Mangal Pandey, believing she was the right fit for the role. At the time, she was shooting in Chennai with Mahesh Babu when Aamir called her. He emphasized the need for an actress who could embrace a de-glamorous look, portraying Vidha in a simple white saree. Ameesha, always open to challenges, immediately accepted the role. She recalled this memory while discussing a picture taken years later at the Bombay Times party.
The actress further reminisced about her brief yet special appearance in Om Shanti Om alongside Shah Rukh Khan, whom she fondly calls her “dream lover.” She expressed her wish for that moment to turn into a full-fledged film someday. Although the backdrop looked like Switzerland, the scene was actually shot in a Mumbai studio.
Ameesha Patel has had the chance to work with Bollywood’s biggest stars—Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, and Shah Rukh Khan—at different stages of her career. She played Salman’s love interest in Yeh Hai Jalwa (2002), had a cameo in Aamir’s Thugs of Hindostan (2018), and appeared in SRK’s Om Shanti Om (2007) song ‘Deewangi Deewangi.’ While she hasn’t been a lead heroine opposite Aamir or Shah Rukh, her collaborations with all three Khans remain memorable for fans.
