Shah is also set to transfer Rs 606.94 crore into the bank accounts of women beneficiaries under the Chhattisgarh government’s Mahtari Vandan Yojana. The transfer, marking the 20th installment of the scheme, will benefit 64,94,768 married women across the state.
The release will take place at Lal Bagh in Jagdalpur after the Bastar Dussehra events. Launched on 1 March 2024, the Mahtari Vandan Yojana aims to make women economically self-reliant by providing married women above 21 years of age with monthly financial assistance of Rs 1,000. So far, under the first 19 installments, a total of Rs 12,376.19 crore has been directly transferred to the bank accounts of beneficiaries. With the release of the 20th installment worth Rs 606.94 crore on 4 October, the cumulative amount disbursed under the scheme will cross Rs 12,983.13 crore.
