Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie made fans take a double look as she hit the red carpet at the 2025 Rome Film Festival on Saturday, to promote her film ‘Couture’.The Oscar-winning actress captivated onlookers at the Auditorium Parco Della Musica in Rome, Italy, by opting to for a stunning backless gown. The chic ensemble showcased her full-back tattoo, as she posed for photographs and signed autographs.

Jolie was joined at the premiere by her Couture co-stars Louis Garrel and Anyier Anei, along with the film’s writer and director, Alice Winocour.
About the Couture
In the film, Jolie reportedly plays the role of Maxine Walker, an American film director facing divorce and a serious illness while navigating Paris Fashion Week and embarking on a romance with a colleague, played by French actor Louis Garrel. As she navigates the dazzling and demanding world of high fashion, she faces a deeply personal challenge – a breast cancer diagnosis, which forces her to re-examine her identity, resilience, and art.
Angelina on struggles of her character
While promoting the film, she said she related personally to the struggles of her latest character. Visibly moved, she said she thought often of her mother while making the film. “I wish she was able to speak more as openly as I have been, and have people respond as graciously as you have, and not feel as alone,” Jolie said.“There’s something very particular to women’s cancers, because obviously it affects us, you know, how we feel as women,” she added.Jolie underwent a double mastectomy in 2013 and later had her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed to reduce her high genetic risk of cancer, which claimed the lives of her mother and grandmother.Before Rome, she promoted Couture at screenings in Canada and Spain, earning early praise for her nuanced portrayal and Winocour’s visually rich direction.
