RAIPUR: In a recent development, security forces conducting an anti-Maoist operation in the Sukma district of Chhattisgarh seized printers, ink, and fake currency notes from Maoist camps.
Sukma SP Kiran Chavan stated, “On information about the printing of fake currency notes by Naxals, the operation was launched in the area and printers, ink, fake notes were seized.”
The revelation of Maoists’ involvement in the production of counterfeit currency has raised concerns about the potential impact on the local economy.
