CHENNAI: At least 11 flights that were either to arrive from Kolkata or to depart from Chennai to that city were delayed on Friday due to bad weather conditions there.
IndiGo flights that were to take off from Chennai to Kolkata at 4.35am, 8.25am, 12.10pm, 3pm and 6.15pm were delayed by between 1.30 and 3 hours. The last flight to depart at 9.10pm has also been rescheduled.
Similarly, flights that were to arrive at 11.10am and 1.45pm were delayed by almost two hours. The flights that were initially scheduled to land in Chennai at 6.25pm and 8.35pm were rescheduled to 6.55pm and 9.25pm respectively.
Hundreds of flyers were affected due to inordinate delays in operations.
