With momentum building, Chhaava is well on track to achieve a Rs 10 crore opening day, which would make it one of Vicky Kaushal’s highest first-day earners. If it surpasses this mark, the film will outperform the actor’s previous blockbuster Uri: The Surgical Strike, which opened to Rs 8.20 crore on January 11, 2019.

Uri, a military drama co-starring Yami Gautam and Paresh Rawal, went on to become a massive hit, collecting Rs 245.36 crore at the domestic box office. If Chhaava maintains its pace, it could be Kaushal’s next major box office success.
With final first-day numbers yet to be confirmed, all eyes are on Chhaava to see if it can set new benchmarks for the actor and the historical drama genre.
