On August 25, 96 trucks weighing more than 3,300 tonnes rolled across designated sections of the deck to simulate daily traffic stress. Over 400 sensors monitored movement in the span, towers, cables, and suspenders to ensure every part of the bridge met strict safety standards.The testing confirmed that the bridge is fully capable of withstanding extreme winds, seismic activity, and the steep canyon terrain, making it one of the safest high-altitude bridges in the world. One of the most practical impacts of the bridge is its dramatic reduction in travel time. Previously, crossing the Huajiang Grand Canyon took approximately two hours. With the new bridge, the journey now takes only two minutes, significantly enhancing regional connectivity.The bridge is part of the 190-kilometer Shantian-Puxi Expressway, a key route designed to boost transportation efficiency, stimulate local economies, and improve access to remote areas of southwestern China.
