It’s sad to not be back with the band, but I’m sure they’re doing something incredible.”

According to fan theories, Steve Rogers’ time-travel arc with Peggy Carter in ‘Avengers: Endgame’ may connect directly to ‘Doomsday’. In the events of the 2019 film, Steve travels back in time to return the stones, however, he returns as an old man after living a full life with Peggy. With this, he created the ‘incursions’, themes that were central in Tom Hiddleston’s ‘Loki’ and Ryan Reynolds’ ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’. Doom is said to be on a mission to end Rogers’ life and the time he creates. Viral rumours claim Evans even filmed a scene opposite Robert Downey Jr., who returns as the villainous Doctor Doom. Other reports speculate that the storyline could introduce James Rogers, the son of Steve and Peggy, as the MCU’s next Captain America following the franchise’s anticipated reboot.‘Doomsday’ is slated to release on 18 December 2026.
