TIRUPATI: A young couple from Uttar Pradesh, who were on a pilgrimage to Tirumala, died in a road mishap along the Puthalapattu-Nayudupet highway near Tirupati on Wednesday. The deceased were identified as Ashish Goyal (35) and his wife Jyoti Goyal (34).
According to the police, Ashish Goyal, his wife Jyoti and their seven year old son Sushaal Goyal, were heading to Tirumala from Bangalore, when the fatal accident took place near Gadanki.
Ashish, who was driving the vehicle rammed into a speeding truck from behind at high speed.
The impact of the accident was so severe that both Ashish and Jyoti died on the spot.
Police rushed 7 yr old Sushaal to the govt general hospital in Tirupati for treatment. Local police registered a case and are further investigating.
