The ‘Drishyam’ franchise has been an important part of the Indian pop cinema culture and has added to the growth of the thriller genre to the mainstream movies with its gripping storylines and mind-bending appeal. The producers officially declared that ‘Drishyam 3’ will hit cinemas around the world on April 2 in order to mark the occasion of Vishu, which has created quite a stir in the Malayalam film industry. Mohanlal Nair has made the announcement through an extraordinary motion poster published on X (formerly Twitter), which is creating havoc amongst the fans. A chilling caption has also been included saying, “Years passed. The past didn’t.” This lines the murder and the set of complications that arose in the first two films. It seems that the consequences of the events have still not ended.

‘Drishyam 3’ is written and directed by Jeethu Joseph, who created the franchise, with Mohanlal reprising his role as Georgekutty. The movie will be produced by the studio that produced its predecessors, marking yet another collaborative effort between the actor and the studio.
